Working on the relationship between the natural element and the artificial element, the installation “Libra” stages the two sides of the environment in which we live, based on a precarious balance between natural action and human intervention For this reason, organic forms and geometric solids alternate in the set-up, composing totemic elements with a strong symbolic value, in which the heaviness of the lithic element is not denied At the centre of the installation is a fountain, symbolic representation of the indissoluble bond between man and nature. Around the fountain, various functions alternate: chairs, tables, vases, sculptures, all designed for outdoor use.
The designer decided to work with both traditional materials used by Bianco Cave: Beige Limestone and White ‘Ostuni’ Limestone. In addition to these, the Carparo and Poggiardo stone with their more pronounced nuances highlight some elements of the installation.
